The Board of governors shall have overall power of administration and management of the university as the team includes eminent educationalists and administrators with respectful profiles that look after the environment of learning in the university. This board of governors keeps sharp-witted sight over the proper regulation of the vision and mission enshrined in the statute of Sikkim Professional University. Below are some powers and responsibilities of the Board of Governors:

  • The Board of Governors is responsible for the overall management of the university including revenue and properties of the universities.
  • This board has the power to frames and develops the responsibilities of other high-profile executives of the universities.
  • Board of Governor approves the estimate of income and expenditure.
  • This board can participate in the appointment, promotion, and dismissal of the high profile positions of the university including, President/Vice-Chancellor/Dean/Professor/University Executive/Chief Executive, etc.
