Career after Pharmaceutical Sciences Courses

Pharmacist

Reputed central government hospitals like AIIMS employ qualified pharmacist at decent pay-packet. Although, state government recruit’s pharmacist at contract basis. Pharmacists who work under reputed organizations, hospitals and medical intuitions can earn handsome salary.

Drug inspector

The responsibility of drug inspector is to monitor the safety and utility of drugs from its manufacturing to its sale. Drug inspectors should have qualities like patience and self-confidence. If candidate want to make career as drug inspector, he/ she has to appear in competitive exams. Salary of drug inspector ranges from 55,000-65,000 per month.

Production and quality control

To ensure the accuracy of daily operation and quality of formulations, pharmaceutical companies recruit pharmacy graduate in its manufacturing/ production units. Initially salary is low, but after 4-5 years of experience one can earn between Rs 80,000-90,000 per month.

Pharmaceutical Marketing

Pharmacy graduate can get employment opportunity as Medical Representatives (MR) in marketing forpharmaceutical products and medical devices by small or big firms and MNCs.Salary of medical representative ranges from Rs. 18,000-35,000, depends on candidate’s skill and experience.

Other job opportunities

Apart from above two, candidate can also make a better career as medical underwriter and also start their own business as drug store owner and wholesaler etc.

Eligibility : D.Pharma with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
